Still, I still think this video is beautiful in a way I can’t really describe. I’ve watched it every few weeks since Shane posted it. This and this still give me consistent goosebumps.

I thought about this video last night, in the car on the way to dinner. There was some random song playing (well, not too random - Pablo had chosen it) and I was staring out the passenger side window at Ocean Beach, and at the Pacific as it rushed by in the late setting sun. I made a funny little video myself, as we went, that felt similar to me. A calm, simple, imperfectly perfect moment before - or maybe between - all the rest of life’s madnesses. Caught, suspended forever in that warm golden light, happy and safe but still a little sad, bittersweet, because it’s already slipped away.
